Women's Health Tasmania's held a Candidates Forum for the 2021 State Election on April 27. It was a chance for women to put their questions about policy issues affecting women to candidates from the 3 major political parties.
Sarah Courtney (Liberal Party), Cassy O'Connor (Greens) and Rebecca White (Labor Party) formed the panel and responded to questions sent in by you, the audience.
We celebrated International Women’s Day with a free online panel discussion on Wed 10th March. That week was exactly one year since we started to hear, ‘Stand here.’ ‘Stay home’…for all our sakes’.
Women’s Health Tasmania has been nominated for a Community Achievement Award, and we’ve made it to the Semi-Finals. We’ve been nominated for the Physical Activity Award, a section of the Community Achievement Awards.
These awards encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions individuals, communities and business make around Tasmania.
Due to taking preventative measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 the Women's Health Tasmania centre is closed, but our phone lines, phone counselling service and the Women’s Health Information line remain open. Please call: 6231 3212 or for Women's Health Info Line call 1800 675 028.

The event was a fabulous success with more than 220 Rosies counted, a new Pan Pacific Record for the greatest number of women in one place dressed as Rosie the Riveter. And we have had official confirmation, New Zealand did indeed weep at news of our record.
October 2018 marks the 30th Anniversary of Women's Health Tasmania.
To commemorate this, we are launching a campaign to raise money to provide information and activities to women who are particularly at risk of having poor health.
