Women on the Wall

If you've visited us in North Hobart or taken a walk down Lefroy Street, you've no doubt seen the colourful mural of women that defines our building. The Women on the Wall mural was designed by local artist Chantale Delrue and painted by community members under her guidance. Brought to life in 2008, it celebrated the 21st anniversary or Women's Health Tasmania, then called the Hobart Women's Health Centre.

Walking Together in Health and Harmony

On November 26, 2024, we launched our newest mural painted by talented Palawa woman Grace Williams. Grace spoke to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal women and young people about what health means to them and used their answers to create her beautiful design. Our hope is that seeing this mural will make women feel welcome and safe in our centre. Read about the symbols in Grace's artist statement. Thank you to the Hobart City Council for the grant to make this project possible.
