Counselling (Face to Face and Telehealth)
At Women's Health Tasmania, we understand the significant impact our mental health can have on our physical and mental well-being. Our Social Worker and Psychologist offer free, short-term counselling sessions for Tasmanian people identifying as women.
As with all our work, we take a strengths-based and solutions-focused approach to counselling. Our counsellors offer up to three free appointments either face-to-face, over the phone, or over video call. If three appointments aren't enough, we can also offer a number of referral options for longer-term counselling or practical support.
You do not need a mental health care plan or a referral from a doctor to see our counsellors.
You can book an appointment for counselling by calling us on 6231 3212 anytime between 9am-4pm Monday-Thursday.
Translating and interpreting services are available. If you would like an interpreter, we can book a TIS phone interpreter for free.
