Professional Workforce Development

Sharing our expertise in existing networking groups. Presentations around specific health issues for women. Exploring a gendered approach to health. Examples of our workforce development are:

Medical students

Medical students visit the centre each year for a tour of our facility and a workshop to get them thinking about women’s health and wellbeing from a broader perspective than just the physical body.

We have also delivered presentations at the UTAS for medical students concentrating on our work and gender in particular.

Tafe Tasmania Community Services

We offer Tafe Tasmania Community Service Students a similar service to the Medical Students. Women's Health Tasmania staff also present sessions at the Tafe College from time to time.

Placements for Social Work and Tafe Students

On an alternate years Women's Health Tasmania offers Social Work and Tafe Students placements.
